Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
I am sixteen years old. My mother kicked me out a few months ago, and I went to live with my grandparents. She still has custody over me, even though I do not live with her. She is determined to hold on. I'm turning seventeen in a few months and know I could support myself. I'm starting college early and have a good job. She refuses to emancipate me or let me move out of my grandparents house. Is there a way around this? Is it even legal?

When you are 18 you can do as you please. Until then you must abide by your parent's wishes. (Note that your mother potentially could be criminally prosecuted depending on details you did not give, but you do not have any rights until you turn 18).
