Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Sole Custody

Back in November I signed papers stating I was giving sole custody of my child to the mother with 0 child support, she has come back and stated that she's now seeking child support and visitation from me. It was my understanding that after the time for appeal has past (30) days that she could not seek these anymore. Can she do this?

Re: Sole Custody

You don't give us enough information to know what papers you signed. If there was no court order entered, what you signed may be meaningless. Even if there was a court order, a person can seek modification. I should note that Judges rarely would approve zero child support. Your lawyer is the one you should be directing these questions to.

You need to have a local lawyer review the entire situation. It is impossible to give you a reliable answer based on just what you have posted.
