Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Sole Physical Custody

If a man is going to court (pro se) to obtain sole physical custody of his child, what type of witness should he get to come to court to testify on his behalf. Since he is doing this pro se, how can he go about getting the witnesses to testify in court if they are relunctant to do so. By the way, the father already has temporary joint physical custody of the minor child.

Re: Sole Physical Custody

The simple answer to your question is that he can subpoena any witnesses to come to court. Contact your clerk's office about the local procedure.

Because of the stakes involved, I would advise you to consult with a local attorney.
