Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
My son is 3 months old. His father will not voluntarily terminate his parental rights. I have not put him on child support nor has he offered anything thus far. The sole reason of our unwed seperation was contributed to drug use. He claims he is clean now, but I have reason he is not. He is currently dating an ex-herion addict, and this is nothing I want my son around. I'm fearful that if I pursue this in court, things will back fire against and he will be granted visitation. I read online that if a parent has lost contact/communication or support with the child for a length of time, his rights could be revoked? Usually how long of lost contact is needed? What options do I have?

Fathers cannot terminate parental rights. There's no such thing.
