My spouse and I are going to file for seperation (having no children, property, debts, and have not lived together since mid febuary). Should I skip attorney fees and get the documents myself from the courthouse where we got our marriage license?

There is no "document" that you can get at the courthouse. There is no "document" you can get on legal zoom. The only way you can get the "document" is if you prepare it yourself, or in the alternative, (an alternative I highly suggest) you hire an attorney to prepare the document for you.
Most uncontested divorces (if it truly is uncontested) are very simple and will substantially limit the attorney's fees you incur.

First of all you CANNOT "file for separation" in Georgia. If you choose not to divorce, you file separate maintenance which usually involves alimony or child support.
While a few counties offer forms (NOT where you got yopur marriage license, which was probate court) cases done with those forms often go wrong. For a few hundred dollars you can have a lawyer do a divorce for you if uncontested and he can likely eliminate your court appearance.
