Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Can a state child support agency send request a court order for the non-custodial parent to pay health insurance for a child; although the divorce decree states that custodial parent is responsible for health care and insurance?
If so can child support payment be adjusted minus the cost of health insurance?

Question one: yes
Question two: maybe. Your lawyer (and you need one) can help you address proposed deviations in child support cases.
An order for child support and/or health insurance requires a hearing if you do not agree to the agencies recommendation. The cost of health insurance can be factored into child support. Suggest you retain an attorney to review the decree, advise you of the best course of action and attend the child support hearing.
