Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
My step father died and left a will. In his will he only left my mother certain items. His daughters got everything else. He made no living arrangements for my mom and his daughters are going to kick her out of the home they shared for 23 years. While married in these 23 years my mother was his sole care taker, and provided my step father with medical insurance through her employment. They shared a checking account for these 23 years and her money went to pay land taxes, and pay for farm equipment and fertilizer and so forth. Can she sue them or the estate to keep her place to live or what can she do?

Assuming this is in Georgia, your mother, if she acts VERY quickly, can retain a lawyer and seek "Years Support" which comes before the will and before creditors. Sometimes all or much of the estate is awaded. It looks like you're in south Georgia. Have your mother call a lawyer in her area immediately!
