my stepfather wants to adopt me

What are the legal ramification's/differences of being adopted by a step-parent? Especially concerning wills and inheritance (of my mothers)?

You are treated exactly like his natural children, and you are no longer treated as the child of your biological father.

If adopted by your stepfather, your rights regarding your mother do not change. The legal relationships which do change are those between you and your biological father and you and your stepfather, should the adoption become finalized. Best of luck!
