Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Stepmother's Interference
I have full custody of my two children, ages 16 and 12.Their stepmother calls and emails the children insulting me,and is constantly badgering them to tell me they don't want to live with me,which makes the children very upset. In her most recent email she told my daughter to ''tell your mother off'' and ''your mother knows that Daddy loves you best''. The times that I have tried to tell her how this affects the kids, she threatens to have me arrested (my ex is a deputy). My son is just twelve but does not want to see his Dad anymore because of the stepmother.I need to know if I can allow him to do that and what can I do (legally) about the stepmother's interference in the custody of my children?

Re: Stepmother's Interference
This is outrageous behavior on the part of the step-mother. You should immediately contact a local attorney with an eye toward taking legal action. BTW, although you may incur initial attorneys fees, if your claim is proven, you have a good chance of getting an award of attorneys fees.
Re: Stepmother's Interference
You can not deny your son's access to his father. Your son can elect who he chooses to live with at the age of 14. There are various legal options available to handle the problems being caused. Please contact my office so that we can discuss these options in detail.
