Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
what steps need to be taken to let my 20 month old son live with my parents until I am done with college in May 2012. We currently live in different cities in Georgia. they are willing to do this, we just need to know if they need legal guardianship or temporary custody? Do we need to retain an attorney for court or what? Also, I am filing the papers for child support on his father, would I still be able to let my son go and stay with my parents full time until May and be able to receive the child support for them to take care of my son?

You need a lawyer. Let me repeat - you NEED a lawyer.
With your consent, it may be possible to do a temporary guardianship. That requires a court order. The father MUST be served. In some situations you may also need his consent.
Filing a child support case when you do not have custody of your child could be fraud, and could land you in jail. So see a lawyer, and decide what you actually can and should do.
