Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

If I am subpoenaed to court for a divorce hearing, do I have to testify, or can I plead the fifth?

A good friend of mine who has a history of drug use, is going through a nasty divorce to try to get custody of her kids. Because she manipulated many people for years into thinking she had many medical problems, I had provided her with RX drugs which was from a 3rd party. It was discovered that she had a serious drug abuse problem and no real medical problems and has since gone through a detox program. If I am called to testify, do I risk being penalized for contributing?

Hire yourself a very good criminal lawyer. You are at serious risk of a long stint in jail.

You cannot afford not to have counsel.

Glen is absolutely correct - you are in over your head right now and anything you say can put you in prison for a long time

Hire a criminal defense attorney IMMEDIATELY !!

(BTW: Is divorce case in Fulton county also?)
