Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

support during divorce

My husband and I are divorcing and using mediation services. Since the process began a month ago, he has since blocked me from all financial access (we still stay in the same house together). I can't even get gas or go to the grocery store without asking for money. I am a stay-at-home mom to our three kids. Is there any recourse to obtaining financial support until I find a job in order to get my own place?

You need to seek temporary support from your spouse.

Mediation or no, you need an attorney to petition the court for immediate support.
