Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Ok. Well I was suppose to get married June 12 and on June 7 my ex fiance decided to call the wedding off. He told me whatever money everyone was out of he would pay. Now he is denying it. He is also wanting the engagement ring back. Do I get an attorney and get him to pay what he owes? Do I give him the ring back?

The value of the ring when he bought it was 1500. I paid 1800 in wedding plans and his mom is saying she paid 4000. He of course paid none. We were engaged for a year and a half and he broke it off 5 days before because he was still in love with his ex.

Issues like that aren't clear cut under Georgia law.

I'd keep the ring and ignore the wedding plan money. If he doesn't go to Court, you break even. If he does, it's all up to the judge. But the legal fees to ask for $1500 would be far more than $1500.
