Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
what it takes for the juduge to take the children away from there mother
my sister found out that her husband was cheating on her he told her this. so she moved down in florida with me. now her husband has filed for custody for there 3 children. he lives in georgia. my sister has met a man and treats her well and he said she could stay with him so she moved in with him cause she thought she was being a pest to me cause she has been at my house for 6 months. her husband says he has enough on her to take the children from her cause in the state of ga. he says its different laws and he can take the girls from here cause she had moved in with someone before they was divorced. and i'm not sure what else he has on her but i would like to know what he has to have to be able to get them from her. she dont do any drugs she got a job cause he wasnt sending but only 50.00 a week and she couldnt live on that. and she takes good care of her girls. so what would make a juduge give custody of 3 girls to there father? and she needs to find a lawyer in ga. that is cheap or free or that can make her husband pay for it do you know of any in bacon county ga. ?

Custody can be a complicated issue. A judge will decide based on what the best interest is for the children and will consider many, many factors. She should seek legal aid in Bacon County. Contact the local bar association and see if they can help.
