Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Teenage Daughter and sex

I have a 17 year old daughter who got pregnant at 16 by a 23 year old ''man''. I was told I couldn't do anything because she was above the age of consent. This ''man'' has her very emotionally and verbally abused, (witnessed by many)but she isn't willing to admit it. He helped her to runaway to GA by bus with their daughter, again, I was told there wasn't anything I can do. My question is: While this may not be a case of statutory rape, isn't there something that can be done about the age difference between them? He currently has a bond on him with a condition that he isn't supposed to see, write, contact her or anyone under the age of 18 without supervision and only for a 2 hour limit, but for some reason this wasn't discovered until this last time my daughter ran away. Can something possibly be done legally about this age difference and for the protection of their daughter, help me to get back some control of my daughter? Thanks for any suggestions or help you can give.

I don't know why he has a "bond" as you describe it. That would seem to indicate that he is under probation for something. Contact his probation officer. Be prepared to ruin your relationship with your daughter who can control whether you see you grandchild. William S. Stern
