Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

time frame filing orders

Is there a time period in which an attorney has, to submit orders given by judge to the clerk of the court? My husband was ordered to do certain things within 1 week almost 4 months ago, which he still has not done. My attorney wrote up the orders, sent them to my husband's attorney who just seems to refuse to forward them on to the judge, to be signed and filed with the clerk of the court. Contempt charges cannot be issued since there is not a signed order in place.

Re: time frame filing orders

If I understand your question, the judge issued certain orders from the bench and directed your attorney to reduce them to writing. If this is correct, and if the other attorney is just dragging his feet, your attorney can just present them to the judge. I would be curious as to why your attorney has not done that.
