Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Visitation

I was divorced recently. We have joint legal and physical custody with alternating weekends and extended visitation. She did not specifically mention other days out of school, but the judge said additional visitation would be in accordance with the school calendar. She then divided Winter, Spring, and Fall breaks, Christmas and Thanksgiving into odd and even years. I also have three weeks during the summer. We pick the weeks alternately. The judge did not mention the child's birthday, mother's birthday, father's birthday, Easter, July 4th, Memorial Day weekend, or Labor Day weekend. My attorney said the judge told her she knew the mother was going to be difficult about visitation so she deliberately didn't mention those; that I would get those if they happen to fall on my regularly scheduled visitation. I don't understand that logic. I have the child on Father's Day from 10 to 2 no matter what. I chose the week of June 19th as one of my weeks. My ex-wife says that Sundays are not part of the week of visitation; that it's just the weekdays. I picked that week so that I could have my child for Father's day. She insists on getting him back at 2 and keeping him until 6. Which of us is right? Is there anything I can do?

Re: Visitation

The language of the support/visitation decree would control. So, whatever visitation the decree gives you, that is what you can legally enforce. If the mother does not adhere to the terms of the decree, she can be held in contempt of court.
