Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Visitation
I was offered a job in another state. I have legal custody of my 4 children. I pleaded with the children's father to change his visitation to have the children during the summer and during holidays, I will pay for their transportation. He refuses. My job just started last week, I brought the children with me. They are now registered in school and we are fully relocated. Can I file a motion to the court in the state I now live in to change visition? Will I loose custody of my children? Will I go to jail for breaking parental visitation? The children are now settled, will the court force me to take the children out of school and quit my job and move back.
Need answers, please advise.

Re: Visitation
If you deviate from the terms of the custody decree, you can be found in contempt of court if the father requests it from the court. You can always file a motion and request that the court modify the custody decree due to the change in circumstances. Keep in mind that the decision will be based on what is in the best interests of the children.

Re: Visitation
I would suggest contacting a divorce lawyer in New York. A court will decide cases based on the best interests of the child.
