Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Getting visitation rights after adoption

I gave my biological daughter up for adoption to my parents when I was 18.I have always been in her life and she is now 5 and knows I am her biological mother.

My mother and I had an arguement and now doesn't want to have any contact with me.I was wondering if there was any way the law would be able to give me visitation with her since she is legally my sister and biologically my daughter.

Re: Getting visitation rights after adoption

Ordinarily, consent to an adoption is a "done deal". However, depending on the law in your jurisdiction, a complaint in equity (i.e., in the Superior Court) MIGHT provide you some help. You should contact an attorney in your area for more advice. If you are in the Atlanta area, please feel free to call me.
