Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I wanted to know if I get my husband to share the household expenses as he only pays for the utilities and when I asked him to at least share the day care expenses for our child he has point blank refused it as he does not have the money and that I did not ask him before I put him in day care. But he was aware that our son was going to a middle school which we did not have access to school bus. I have tried to see if we could rent our house and try to stay close to the school so that we could say the day care money he is okay with it as long as I sign the lease papers for one bedroom apartment and live there under his terms and condition and also made himself clear that he will pay only $ 350 for the rent and we will share all the other expenses. He does not do much at home but sit on the laptop and drink tea or coffee at least and his evening starts with having hard liquor like whiskey. I am just trying to see what legal rights I have to make him pay his share or is divorce is the only path I have. I was trying to save this marriage for the sake of our 11 year old son. Please advise.

Courts only intervene in marriages if you file for divorce. You can't stay married and have a court make him do anything.
