Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
i have been wanting to file for a divorce, but coming up with the money has been hard since my husband does not let me have access to our accounts. I am getting ready to file my taxes myself and wonder if I will get into any trouble for taking the refund and putting it on a prepaid card that I have instead of putting it into our checking acct. This is the only way I can get enough money to file and leave the home.

You can't file jointly with him without his signature, and you can't send the refund somewhere without his signature. That would be a felony and could land you in prison.
If your accounts are joint, you can go to the bank and draw out money.
And, if you work, put your paycheck in a separate account, not the joint one, and you can file married filing separate and keep your own refund.
