There should be a hearing to determine whether or not the children will be returned to the parents. The court will usually attempt to reunite the family. This may require counseling or other measures to address the situation which resulted in the removal of the children from the home. In the event that the court determines that it is not in the best interest of the children to be placed with the mother or father then an alternate family member will be considered for placement of the children. If you desire to obtain custody you should let that be known to the court. Please feel free to contact me to discuss this in further detail at 770-612-0909.
