Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
My wife and I want to get an uncontested divorce. We have three children whom we have not had custody of for the last 6 years. Will we still be able to do an uncontested divorce and if so what extra paperwork would we need. We live in Georgia and the children do also.

The first thing you need is a lawyer. No divorce is simple enough to risk doing without counsel.
Cases with children have many added pitfalls. And often, the MOST complex divorces are ones where parents have lost custody, because no form in existence begins to address that fact pattern. Usually, in such cases, you will have to make provisions for what happens should either of you later regain custody (which means dealing with child support, custody, visitation and parenting plans). Additionally, paperwork from the other court case must be submitted and explained.
My office has handled such cases with good success in the past. Feel free to call me (404-768-3509). If both of you cooperate, the costs usually can be minimized. Whether the case is "uncontested" depends on facts not in your post.
