Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My wifes brother is getting a divorce in Georgia. Recently he was arrested for felony assault against his current wife. He pulled a gun on her, but did nothing else. His wife and my wife are friends and still speak. My wife and I live in Texas and her brother wants to his sister to access his and his wifes joint account so that she can transfer money from their account to our account so he can retain another lawyer. I told my wife this was a bad idea and to stay out of it. Also told her that if she does she better get permission from both attorneys. I feel that she could get in trouble with the courts since all funds are suppose to be frozen right now. Let me know what you think?
