Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Wife's drug usage

My wife and I are getting divorced. She had seven affairs amongst other things while I was in Iraq. I am trying to get full custody. I have a signed affidavit stating that she took my three year old daughter to a party after midnight and that she was exposed to drugs and alcohol. She also left my daughter alone at this party for several hours and another party goer smoke marijuana with my daughter on her lap. She then drove my daughter home while intoxicated. I contacted DFCS but since the allegation was over 90 days old they will not investigate. Now I have heard that my wife is now using crystal meth. What can I do to protect my daughter? Can I notify the police about this and will they investigate on hearsay? Will DFCS get involved on hearsay?

Re: Wife's drug usage

Affidavits cannot be used in court. To prepare a case, you need (1) a good lawyer and (2) a good investigator. You will also need live witnesses. Stop bringing DFCS and the police and only do that if and when your lawyer suggests.

Involving the police and DFCS might lead to the children being removed -- from BOTH of you. See a qualified lawyer ASAP. Since drugs are involved, that means today.
