will i get child support if i make more than the non custodial parent

Georgia is on an income-sharing system which calculates child support using a MS Excel spread sheet. The short answer to your question is yes.

Both incomes are calculated as part of child support. More than likely, the noncustodial parent will pay something, although it will be reduced because of your income. Other factors such as health insurance, child care and extra-curricular activities are also calculated in. Under Georgia law both parents are required to provide support for their children. I suggest you speak to an attorney who can assist in calculating child support.
