will i get in trouble for asking to dismiss a TPO that i was the plantiff?

The main trouble you will get in is the message it sends to an abuser - that you will back off and not stand your ground to protect yourself. That increases the likelihood that you will be killed or injured by the one you filed against.

Almost 100% of the time, the worst move you can ever make during a TPO is to seek to stop it after you start it.
