wrong name of father on birth certificate

I have not lived with my wife for 3 years. She had a baby and put my name on the birth certificate and I am not the childs father. She said it was the law and she had to.

She is correct. Hire a lawyer ASAP. Legally any child born to her while you are married IS your child (and you MUST pay support) unless a court rules otherwise. You need to seek a divorce as soon as possible, and you MUST resolve this issue in the divorce.
