X wife filing contemp after 3 years has past
My x has filed contemp charges for alimony that is from 3 years ago. The Alimony ended May 2006 by court order. She is filing contempt for 2002 & 2003 can she do this?

Sure. Did you think that you could get away with ignoring a court order and everyone would just forget about it? Given the expense of a court case (and you likely, if in contempt, will have to pay her lawyer bills), when someone chooses to ignore a court order, some people may wait until a large amount is due, rather than filing an expensive succession of small cases.
At this point you may save yourself a lot of money by offering to pay the whole arrearage now and not letting the case get to trial.
