Can an employer require the employee to use Family Medical Leave( after five consecutive sick days), even though they still have accrued sick leave.

You provide too littel info for me to answer. If the reason for your leave is a serious medical condition (as defeind by the FMLA that is in patient care or a continuing regimine of supervised medical treatment i.e. two or more sessions, treatments, rehab visits etc., then you may be required to use it as FMLA leave. Your employer may require you to use paid leave or any type concurrently with FMLA leave
