Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

I bought a phone off a gentleman. I then traded that phone with a friend for his phone and $ 200. Two days later he found out the phone was stolen and it belonged to a friend of his. We returned the phone to his friend and i returned his phone back to him. We agreed that day he would pay me $150 back on his next paycheck. I have a instant messaging chats where he agreed to pay me. It has been 3 weeks and i still havent received any money. If i go to court do i have enough evidence to win and is it worth the trouble?
