Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
Hello, I briefly dated a guy who turned out to be not so great. He is now not only upset that I broke it off with him and ignore all forms of contact, but threatening to broadcast video of me that was apparently taken without my knowledge or consent. I have been polite in asking him to just leave me alone; but he insists upon calling me horrible names and saying that he will move forward with his plan.
My question is can he do this legally? Any video that he could possible have was taken while I was under the influence and unaware.

Sounds like you may grounds for civil action against him. You should contact me so we can take measures to prevent him from following through with his intentions.
It is highly unlikely there is a reason to start a legal battle now. It is good for one, maybe two, lawyers after the battle is escalated, and often makes a bad situation worse. Keep in mind that emotions run high after some break-ups. People make threats or accusations in the heat of a conversation. Your situation is, unfortunately, not uncommon and it is usually a desperate attempt to keep in contact. If you are unaware of a video, it is certainly possible, if not likely, there is not one. In the great majority of situations, it blows over when things cool down. Your best option is likely to completely ignore him and stop responding and gibing him what he wants - attention. Certainly, you will want to keep all emails or voice mails IF it escalates or if you truly have reason to believe it is something beyond words.
