Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
Went to a car dealership in Columbus Georgia. Saw a car looked it over. Asked dealer if any engine work has been done. Dealer replied " No engine work has been done". Drove car , upon return had questions. I asked if the odometer cluster can be fixed ?. Dealer reply, "Yes we could do that. Left the car there several days and went to ask when will it be done, another dealer was there talking about how great the car was and that we the dealership done a complete rebuild on a engine and put the best possible head they could find and that car should only be driven locally , "it's not the kind of car that would make it to Atlanta".That day they called me and said" that i have to come and pick it up because the in house shop needed to schedule and appointment". So I complied and on my way home passerby's drove by me blowing ther horns telling me there was smoke coming out the rear. Nevertheless I called them and informed them of this they said" your appt is wednesday. I also told them that it was important that they fix that odometer because it reads 120mph when I even drive slow I need to take my kids to a school zone and I have a CDL class A" ,don't need any tickets and I know now the miles are wrong as stated and the dealer lied about the engine being worked on. I bought it back and never picked it up .They never fixed it.. What kind of lawyer in Columbus Ga can I retain for this after I filed several complaints with charge card and BBB. Gov. office.? That car has been driven well passed it's mechanical limits.

Unless you bought the car with a warranty, you own it as is and have no legal case and your crredit card dispute is inappropriate.
If you bought it with a warranty, pursue the case with the BBB.
You went from looking the car over to a story about all that is wrong with it, and completely skipped over the purchase (we assume - since you did not say), the terms of any contract, what they agreed to do in the contract, etc. You leave out the most important details.
I agree with the other attorneys, but offer some other information. Cars are sold as is unless there was a specific warranty (like a warranty on the engine). When buying a used car, always ask for a Carfax report and have the car inspected by an independent mechanic. Dealers have a license to lie (well almost - they come very close).
While you did have a duty to check out the car, the dealer did not have a license to commit fraud. There are attorneys in Georgia who deal with car dealer fraud. If the dealer violates the unfair trade practices law they can be sued.
