Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Name Change

My isue is with a name change. I am using my mothers last name but I have a birth certificate in my fathers last name. My social security card is in my mothers last name in fact evrything I have from bill to my retired military I.D. card is in my mothers last name. The issue is I need to obtain a Georgia drivers license and the birth certificate in my fathers name is all I have. Do I need to do a legal name change to obtain a birth certificate in my mothers last name.

Yes. And if you don't do it, the state may suspend your driver's license.
