Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
My former employer has retained an attorney and is threatening to sue me for supposed violation of confidentiality and proprietary information. I just received notification by certified mail today. Previous to this, I received an email from said employer accusing me and threatening me of said violation, when none was committed. Can I counter-sue for something? What should I do?

If you get sued, see a lawyer. Otherwise, I am not sure why you think we would know what you could sue the employer for.

For reasons too complicated to explain here, you may or may not be able to counterclaim. Even if you can't, you may be able to bring a separate action for attorneys fees and possibly other damages. Consult with a local attorney. Don't wait.
