Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
expenses
I have an apartment complex that owes my business money for services rendered.
The management company is out of state. I know they have to have a registered agent in the state of Ga. I cannot find anything on the sec. of state site about them.
My question is, if I hire a locator company to find the registered agent for this apartment community, is the fee to find this registered agent compensable automatically in the small claims court? ( like court costs and service)

Re: expenses
Unfortunately, no. No damages are automatic in a civil suit. You must prove the damages and the court (or jury) must award them. Of course, if there is a provision in the contract with the apartment complex that requires them to pay such damages, that would be good proof.
