Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
False accusation
My neighbor's son parks his truck in the driveway, opens the doors and plays the music so loud it shakes my whole house. We spoke with him (who is a policeman) and also talked of other things. He said he would take care of the loud music. He continues to do this and Sat. night, we were trying to cook dinner and he pulled his truck out from it's parking place, opened the doors wide and turned on the loud music with huge speakers that rang out everywhere. I went over to ask them to turn it down please but saw nobody. The garage was dark and the truck sat there with the doors open and music going looking as if nobody was around. Since I saw no one, I just reached into the truck and tapped the buttons of the radio/stereo once with the tips of my fingers and the music went off. This nice policeman called the police and reported that I had stolen their CD. The police came, searched my yard and house with flashlights and kept going back and forth talking to us then the neighbor. The police left saying there are no charges. Yesterday, I was served with a suit for $869. for breaking his stereo. This is totally untrue. I only have 4 days to answer. What can I do?

Re: False accusation
You clearly need to hire a lawyer to represent you in this matter.
