Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

My fiancee was promised a quarter million by his father who does everything for his other eight children but not for him. He was supposed to receive they money for his 21st birthday, but today his father told him that he spent all of the money on buying himself a house and all of his other children. He was told that he was out of luck by his father unless he decided to sell his house, which is not going to happen any time soon. The trustfund was meant for his father and his first born child which is my fiancee but he doesn't consider my fiancee as one of his children and he spent all of the money. Can we sue? The trustfund wasn't in his name though on the count of his grandmother died before he was born. Do we still have the right to sue? Even if he made it all up to be spiteful?

A mere promise to give a gift is not an enforceable contract, and parents have absolutely no obligation to give their children anything, or to make it "fair." You mention "trustfund" but no one here can possibly know the details of any trust (which is a legal entity). If your fiance thinks he has legal rights to an actual trust, and does not mind what it does to future family relationships, HE (you have no interest in the matter) can see a lawyer and bring all the trust documents.
