Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Finanicial Disclosure

Am I obligated to provide Plaintiff's attorney with financial disclosures, such as, bank statements, loans, personal property, etc. if asked for after complaint was served on me, but before court date set. If so, am I obligated to provide information to Plaintiff's attorney before court or does it get delivered in court?

Thank you.

Re: Finanicial Disclosure

Maybe. We can't tell without knowing what the case is about, the nature of the requests, etc. If you have been sued, you need a lawyer. This is but a minor example of the things you fill face if you are trying to defend yourself.

Re: Finanicial Disclosure

Generally, yes. As Scott pointed out, it depends on many factors. However, generally, all non-privileged / non-confidential information is exchanged through discovery before trial.
