Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
A friend bought a lottery ticket we were together with the agreement that we split the winnings. He won 577,000.00 I agreed to take 75,000 which at that time he agreed. We went togther for him to turn the winning ticket in 5 days later he received his money. We went to the bank and he put at that time 40 thousnad in my account. The lady at the bank stopped him and said that I would have to pay 51percent on that money so he then took the money out of my account with the understanding that he would open a account and put his name on it and my name and that way I would have to pay taxes on money that he had already paid taxes on. He then turned around and put 11000.00 in my account the bank told him that he could gift me that amount. After that he said that he was going to mark off a loan of 1200.00 that he gave men and he did. At that time this man continued to but my cigarettes and some food until he moved from next door. He agreed to give me the money so that I could finish my education. Now he has moved is there anything that I can do to get the money. I proof of the deposits I also have people telling me that he said he fixed it to where I wouldnt have any money worries at all. This is older man that I took to the store and helped him but his food when he didnt have any money or anything. I am not asking but for enought money to finish my school and pay my bills until I do. I have tried to call this man and he will not take my calls but yet talks to others about this. Do I have a case to collect or not.

It all depends on the written agreement you made with him when the ticket wa spurchaed and redeemed. Show that to your lawyer. (Presumably with that much at stake you had him write one for you).
