Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
harassment/stalking/defamation of character
I ended a relationship 8 months ago with a man and he continues to try to contact me. Because I refuse to speak with him he is sending me threatening emails and making abusive phone calls. He is threatening to publicly reveal some very private and traumatic personal information about me to my family and community. He has made contact through email accounts under false names. When I report it to the internet provider they cancel the account and he just opens another. I intend to change my email. What can I do if he continues to threaten or worse go public with this information about me?

You could seek a restraining order in the Superior Court of the county of his residence and/or you could take out a stalking warrant in Magistrate Court against him. Contact your local court clerk's office for more info for more information.
