My husband had a pitbull that had disappeared a year ago, this dog returns to the residence, and aweek later attacks a neibors dog and kills it. The police and animal control come to the scene, shooting the pit that returned home in the head. Animal control charges me with a citation for having 4 vicious dogs. One dog is a 3 year old pitbull, which has never hurt a fly. And 2 pitbull puppy's in which they are only 3 months old. This dog fight happened in my yard, because of the neighbors dog entered into. What kind of rights do I have?

More facts need to be examined, e.g., how long was the dog back home, did you know he was back, etc. You should consult with a local attorney.
