Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Landscaping

I hired some friends of mine to do a job for me, and they royally messed it up. The sod looks like its an ocean, and some areas (inc. garde beds) are not receiving water. They stated that they did not puchase/rent the necessary equipment that they needed to do the job, but yet they charged me for it on the estimate. They have also used several things of my own to do the job without even asking. They do not have and LLC, but have yet to complete the contracted work. Since I have not paid the in full, they are threatening to take me to court. What should I do in this case?

Re: Landscaping

Hire an independent landscape person to review the situation and give his/her opinion as to who is right. Based on what you are told, you might want to take action yourself and sue in small claims court. You can get the forms and instructions at your local courthouse.
