Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

I learned several weeks ago that my university made an error in reviewing my college transcripte. I was not awarded my earned degree that I should have received 40 years ago. Do I have any legal grounds to recover 40 years of missed compersation?

I doubt it since (1) any statute of limitations would have expired, and (2) you were grossly negligent in not looking at your degree and transcript 40 years ago, so you caused the damages.

What missed compensation? If you applied for jobs stating you had the degree, who did not hire you (or promote you) because you did not actually have the degree? The next question is how the employer knew, but you didn't? Did you get a diploma? If not, why not, and why did you not ask? Your post is very vague on the "error" in your transcript, but most students are very aware of the requirements and their progress for a degree. Did you not keep up with this? In addition to a statute of limitations problems, these are many of the questions that need answers and you provide no actual details in your post.
