lease of property agreement

Can i req my deposit back on a vehicle lease from a private owner. if they have repossed the vehicle due to payment being 10 days late and due to the contract states that the deposit is non refundable unless something happens on behalf of the lessor... the leesor filed bankruptcy.

Your post is far from clear, and we don't have the documents, but you would violate federal law by even asking for money from a person in bankruptcy.
