Your post is way too vague. If you are simply asking whether you have a right to take property that belongs to your SIL, no. Otherwise, you leave us to guess the item, who owns it, how your SIL got it, and so on. What FACTS support any claim you may have? Calling something an "heirloom" is meaningless.
