Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Major Restaurant's Customer Comment Card

Two weeks ago I filled out a Customer Comment Card to report a rude cashier. A local social worker told me that the cashier has applied for unemployment, and upon examining the folder that the cashier had, the Comment Card that I submitted was in the cashiers possession, with my name and address. Shouldn't this type of personal information be kept confidential between the customer and management?

Maybe, but that is not a legal issue or question. The customer should have considered the possibility this would happen prior to providing personal information. One should not expect that to be kept confidential. On the subject of privacy, one would wonder why the social worker is telling you the details of the termination and unemployment claim.

You don't have a legal issue, but I would contact the CEO of the company personally to complain (you can research the address and phone and name online). The company will likely send you some gift certificates and an apology.
