Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
In March, a unnamed friend bought 100+$ of items from me. He said that he would pay me back that weekend. It is now July and he is demanding back a small game system he gave to me. I have no problem giving it back, I've told him so. But first he must repay the debt.
He has now reduced to bullying me through texting and is demanding that I send him the game and he will have my items to me in a week. I've tried to save face and reconcile with him, but he's not listening. Please, I need to know my rights and how I can proceed within the law. I don't have the money for a lawyer so I can't go to court.

When you handle transactions like this, "rights" and the "law" are often not that important. He owes you money or property, and you owe him property. Tell him you will exchange at the same time, or keep telling him you want your money, but at some point for $100 it is probably wise to just move on one way or the other and view it as a $100 lesson to not loan money to soon-to-be-former friends (or family). Virtually all phones these days have the ability to block numbers.

Two wrong do not make a right
Return his item (get a receipt for it) and try to get your $100+ back at the same time
If you cannot get your money then, you will have to chalk it up to a hard lesson in life - friends, too, can lie to you and cheat you.
