Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Modification of previous question...

Can an opposing attorney be a "witness" against you?

This is a civil case where the plaintiff, who is a public official, has committed felony forgery/fraud against the defendant and her attorney is aware of this.

Her attorney was listed as a "witness" in the investigation which ensued after she made false criminal charges against the defendant. Her attorney knew these were false allegations but helped her in filing the complaint.

So, I ask the question again...

In this situation, Can an opposing attorney be a witness against you????

You still omitted all the necessary details to answer.

The scope of a lawyer's testimony, and whether it is tangental or central to the case affects the answer, both as to the bar rules and how a judge would rule.

Discuss this with your attorney.

You simply want to make one-sided accusations and get a favorable ruling on an internet message board (that would not help anyway). Judges hear both sides. Your question is for the lawyers in the case.
