Negligence

One of my roommates left the apartment door open. In doing so, my computer was stolen while I was in the shower and my room door was unlocked. If the apartment door were closed and locked like it should have been, I would still have my computer. Can I sue him?

Of course. Go the Small Claims court in the county of residence. They will give you the forms.
